The K-2 precinct is the first new construction in a comprehensive masterplan to redevelop the College into its next phase of life.
The learning spaces straddle a large covered Learning Street which will grow in subsequent stages until its sweeping arc connects all buildings and levels across the campus. The Learning Street has been conceived to be space for outdoor learning, recreation, gathering, display, circulation, ramped access. Its gentle inverted wing form allows air circulation and natural light to wash the space.
Year-based clusters of learning spaces huddle around common activity spaces that facilitate the messier aspects of infant learning and each space can open both into the Learning Street and to outdoors, allowing learners to be part of the rural backdrop easily and connected to their environment.
