The project at Narellan involved the analysis of existing facilities to assess their compliance with current school planning standards and the masterplan for the development of the school from 900 t0 1100 students.
Planning involved a brief development and consultation with school user groups resulting in a building design relating to the provision of a new double sized multipurpose hall and the provision of 1300m2 of new teaching and learning spaces
The school has adopted a principle for new teaching and learning facilities to accommodate the needs of both individual classroom teaching or open space required for collaborative learning settings. New t3eaching facilities seamlessly engage with the existing circulation patterns
The new hall engages with the existing Resource centre to allow multiuse after school hours for enhanced community facilities. New buildings relate to the adjacent sports oval to provide sculptured forms appropriate to their well developed landscape setting.
