The proposed development entails expansion and refurbishment of an existing neighbourhood shopping centre, positioned below a multi-level residential complex.
The re-development will include the construction of a new full line Coles Supermarket, expanded basement parking and over 2,300sqm of additional specialty retail, food and beverage operators. Upon completion, the total lease area of the developed retail precinct will be over 7,000sqm.
The site is well positioned at the centre of the southern Gold Coast’s food, entertainment and urban regeneration at Palm Beach. The redevelopment will not only enhance the retail and dining offer within the precinct, but also revitalise the city centre's pedestrian network through the introduction of a new retail laneway which will link the Gold Coast highway with surrounding avenues and offer an enriched public space.
Pavilions Palm Beach will be a welcome addition to the current streetscape, apartment complex residents and local community.
